| Guido Cenciotti-Alterocca, Chief Executive
Alterocca was founded by Guido Cenciotti-Alterocca after two years as the Marketing & Deputy Managing Director of an Italian wine import and distribuition company. Business educated in the UK, during this time he turned the business around from loss making into a profitable success.
However, sensing the economic downturn and seeing the Euro's rise relentlessly eroding margins on low-value wines, Guido decided to set up Alterocca in order to fill a very sensitive gap in the market: an agency and exclusive importer specialising exclusively in Italian wines of the best possible quality; whether a great classic or one of the many varieties that are little known in the UK .

Edoardo has over 25 years experience as Sommelier, Wine Director and Food & Beverage Manager in top hotels, restaurants and the wine trade both in Italy and England where he was responsible for many award winning restaurant wine lists. He is on the tasting panel for various wine competitions.
Edoardo's awards are too many to mention. However, one deserve to be noted: winner of "Best of Award of Excellence" by Wine Spectators for 5 consecutive years deserves to be noticed.

Francesca Cioce, Marketing Manager
Francesca hails from a strong entrepreneurial family background in the catering industry. She acquired her initial marketing knowledge at the European Institute of Design & Communication in Rome , and she has finalised it with a BSc in Business Management & Marketing at Edinburgh Napier University . Prior to her degree, Francesca has covered a variety of managerial roles in the 5star hospitality sector.
At this point, the world of premium wines has become her greatest passion. This has led Francesca to train and work with Friarwood for six months before joining Alterocca. Francesca fits naturally in with the Alterocca`s philosophy as she always believed that Italian Wines have been misrepresented in the UK.
Francesca is responsible to coordinate all the Marketing activities of Alterocca.
